Yes, on any motherboard that you can properly edit the keyvault on post-NXE (Read: none past Falcon without heavy modification [Source]), you can patch the region/OSIG to your hearts content. However it might be easier to simply read the OSIG in 360 Flash Tool, and spoof your mismatched drives accordingly.

No, I want to learn how to do this anyway as I have many good 360's here that work great but have mismatched drives.

k0mpresd: please edit the main post to say that this is only confirmed working on Xenon mainboards, so you don't have a huge amount of people attempting to unban and posting about their problems with newer consoles.

do you mean because they hash check the keyvault now after nxe so as soon as you update above nxe you get red lights with newer consoles

if this is the case i agree it does need to be added before people start trying it on newer consoles

No, it's hardware-based. Xenons can do what OP described. Newer mainboards cannot. Check the very top of the first post for a link to a an x-s news posting.

yh that is what i ment! from falcon upwards but i thought they didnt start using it untill nxe was released so people can edit the keyvault using pre nxe on newer models but as soon as it takes a nxe update it does the chrismass lights...

Apart from being illegal that's also immoral, and against the rules of this forum, imagine some little kid buying that console only to find out it's a banned one.

Just wondering, is there ANY chance of a console hack coming out for the summer 09 dashboard? Since my console is banned and I am now using a second console I might as well use it for hacks.
