I bought an XBOX 360 elite and I found that I cannot use my NAS as media storage without major changes at the NAS. This is not an option, therefor the changes MUST be done to the XBOX 360.
however I would like to avoid any physical changes to the device, like soldering.

Then is it possible to change the dashboard to another like Evox, whitout a boot chip?

ok i think what u want is to have another dash like the old xbox allows (evoX, XBMC, UnleashX ext)
you want this without a modchip

well there is no real dash out atm theres a elf launcher that is the only thing that comes close so if u do use the new hack u can only use for homebrew or m$ dask without a modchip

with the cygnos modchip then u have had 2 nand chip and there for have a m$ dash and homebrew all u need to do is flick a swich

there is no way to do any of this with out soldering u need to add the jtag points and u need to solder to others to read write the nand so you are going to have to solder to the board
