This one was very cheap, but works fine.. its an arcade

previous owner (witch i work with and trust) tells me that he sent this unit in for flashing with a dude that does it for money.

I've tried to burn some images in imgburn with correct duallayersettings and all after watching some guides around, but cannot get a game to boot.
Any way for me to actually _check_ if this is flashed for real? Because i dont have any referencebox to test my discs on..

why not just dump the firmware and check it?  Jungleflasher will identify if it is an ixtreme firmware.  Also, if it is the latest firmware, could be your isos are not made properly, so it is stopping them from booting for your safety.

Hmm, actually i dont have a clue how to even open the box.. i'll have to try it later.

Tried another game ufc undisputed.

This sucker i burned in clonecd instead, and it this one the xbox cannot read after minutes of trying. sad.gif

I talked to previous owner, he had success with a copy or two, but i think it might be my traxdata-discs ruining the fun.

do you know what drive it is cos theres a way to play bad backups on a lite-on 7xxxx

using activate.iso burn it then put it in the drive before the game and bad backups will play but i have never used it

how long ago did he send it in to get it flashed? also,  how new are the games you are trying to play? could have to do with the wave 2 and wave 3 games,  and if it's an older version of ixtreme, it can't run the newer wave 3 games. ufc is wave 3, not sure what other games you tried.

did he ever say if he was successfully able to play his backup games?

I tried with dirt 2 and ufc undisputed.

Hmm, theese are quite new games.

I think the flash might be applied a year ago? Or less.

Sounds like you have the older ixtreme firmware that doesn't read new games (Wave3) like dirt 2 and ufc.  You need jungle flasher and a sata cable to hook your drive up. Just google how to flash a (what ever drive you have) with jungle flasher.  As for getting the box apart google that to there are a lot of videos.  Its as easy as pie.  Since you said that you have a Hitachi (i haven't had much luck with them)  I would recommend getting a benq from ebay and flashing the new ixtreme firmware with your key injected/spoofed.
