@ Martinchris23

has your machine ever rrod?
mine has and i repaired via xclamp replacement awhile back.

just wondering why some people get the single 250 error and others dont.
regardless it works and tmbinc said to ingore single 250 errors.

could a rrod incident in the past cause a bad block on the nand?

Don't think it's ever RRoD - I've got one here which has RRoD before so I'll try dumping it either tonight or tomorrow.

Had one xbox with no errors in nand dump, Another with 1 250 and another xbox gets 3 250 errors in a row.
First 2 xboxs were fine, 3rd with 3 errors havent flashed yet. Laptop blew up on the 3rd nand read.

Press any key to begin reading nand
Error: 250 reading block 5D
Error: 250 reading block 5E
03FF

This NAND was dumped 3 times and it matched perfectly each time.

Xell was flashed onto the NAND, the CPU key was recorded, I decrypted the NAND dumps (both dumps were checked just to be sure), got the DVD key, flashed it to a new DVD drive, flashed the original NAND dump back to the NAND chip and the machine was up and running just fine with the original NAND dump. happy.gif

@Hellzone:

The next step eh?

Linux is the next step, lol!

Follow these instructions to get Linux booting on your 360 from this point using Xell:

1. Download the Gentoo Beta 2 Live CD here: http://downloads.sou...non-beta-v2.iso

2. Burn it to a DVD/CD

3. Once burned, open the CD on your PC and copy the VMLINUX file off the disc to your PC

4. Rename VMLINUX to XENON.ELF

5. Put XENON.ELF on to a FAT32-formatted flash drive

6. Put the LiveCD disc you burned into your 360's DVD drive, and put the USB drive with the XENON.ELF file into your USB port on your 360

7. Boot Xell, and watch the magic of Linux on your 360

NOTE: It takes about 5 minutes to start up, be patient. smile.gif

I SPEAK FROM MY XBOX !!!!!

Also I used a Burned DVD to boot in rather then USB. Ill get a cheepo Hdd from Ebay and ill be set.

Nice!

I was unable to boot the DVD directly on mine due to the fact that I have a BenQ drive, I had to use the USB trick to make it work. sad.gif

Benqs dont work ??
What version of linux are you using because i burned the minimal one and it didn't work.

I am using the Gentoo Live CD, Beta 2. (I plan to install Ubuntu 7.10 on the HDD in the future)

Xell does not allow my BenQ to boot straight, but I can boot the USB first, then the BenQ boots after that.

The BenQ works fine under Linux, it just can't boot under Xell without the USB drive loading up first. (the VMLINUX file on the USB drive loads, then it loads the rest of the information from the LiveCD in my BenQ)
