Shows the same thing that was posted a while back booting Xell.  Just posting this so that people know what everybody else can do it also.

Also some people have a problem with there LPT port reading the flash.  You may have to install a 1N914 diode, Tiros said any switching diode should work.

Hey, thanks for the video.  I really want to give this a go, but after it boots into Xell, what can I do?  Can I load one of the older linux discs for the 360?  Im not worried about my soldering messing up or anything, im more interested in what I do after Xell smile.gif

Right now there isn't much more that can be done.  You just have to wait until the rebooters, emus, os' are ready to be released.  You can get your dvd key from the mother board though if you lost it.

Also here you guys go with another diagram. Some people where having issues with the lpt port.  This should fix the error for those people.  Again this is made possible by tiros, and tmbinc.

Yes, any linux disc that booted from Xell started via the King Kong hack should also work booting this way.

Hawk, about the diode on the diagram, does it go straight from the motherboard to pin 11 or does it go to the point on the motherboard where it says R2D8?

What makes it so you need the 1N914.
Doing another xbox now I first read worked.
2nd read now its saying fatial error.

Nothing changed, and doubble checked all the solder points and they are fine.

It's going from the motherboard at J1D2.4  and from there to the DB25 connector.  It just happened that the pic landed there when I mad it.

This is hardware based, so I would think that it would work the same, as long as your using the same pc.  The diode just makes it more compatible with the pc lpt ports.

As long as you've checked your image you can flash the hacked bin and watch Xell boot up so you can get your cpu key, from there you can decrypt the NAND dump that you have.

Can you confirm the direction the diode needs to be attached.  I assume that the black ring on the diode attaches to the motherboard as per the picture, but just wanted to check.

Thanks

I cant seem to find information on how to hack the nand.bin file i just got from my read, as well how should i verify my read?
Sorry for noobie questions and thanks in advance:)

Edit: Figured it out, for those who were somewhat lost like me ftp into xbins, go to xbox 360>free60>images>xenon image, download and flash to nand for xell bootup screen to get key!

I have a Xenon but wanted to keep it for live and use my Jasper for homebrew, does anyone have any details for the Jasper lpt method or know where i could find it?

Im looking at my Xenon's warranty label as i type, all I wanna do is rip it off and get soldering.

Also, any news on a method which doesnt involve the ancient LPT? 45 mins to write NAND lol
Would it be possible via USB?

Yeah you can use USB to flash in less then 2 minutes.  And if that xenon has been on live in the past couple weeks or you where int eh update program you can't do anything with it. Tiros should be releasing the information on the other consoles soon.

Yeah the system will go down once the pc detects it due to the reset.  What NAND did you flash?  Did you check your NAND dump when you first got it?  How many dumps to you take?
