Hi all, i have a benq vad6038 drive and flashed it with the old version 1.1 Xtreme. After doing so i deleted my backup of orig.bin. Then reflashed to the new 1.6 version. Now the drive wont read discs it goes to a screen that says "To play this disc, put in an xbox 360 console" Anyone got any ideas!? ive tried reflashing it a couple times nowbut still no luck! Any help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers
Rob
you have lost your dvd key and that means the xbox is now a dvd player, unless you can find your orig.bin. or a log of jungleflasher with the key in it, if you used that ,it is dead rip.

use free undelete and try to get that file back!!!!  Also, use a bootable cd or live disc that can recover files because the more you use your hard drive, the less the chance of recovery (if it gets overwritten, you're screwed).  I recommend ubcd4win.

good luck.

Someone elses Orginal FW dump will not help you as each 360 motherboard has a different key, this key has to be flashed to the drive, so they pair up. If you have lost your drive key/original FW dump your 360 will only be useful for playing DVD's. When you first flashed iXtreme did you keep the hacked FW you flashed? this would have your drive key in it, when you prepare with say iPrep it injects your FW key into iXtreme so if you had the hacked FW you could get key from that.

Na being a complete nob i deleted the lot. i have a program called Getdataback for ntfs which has been running for the last 5 hours doing a detailed search for all records of ORIG.BIN so will let you all know if it works as may be good help for anyone else as silly as me lol.
