If i remember right Sega possibly Nintendo had the first motion controlled controller. I'm talking almost 20 years ago sometime around the debut of Mortal Kombat. They had made some sort of octagon ring that you stood in, and kicked or punched and it could mimic your movements. It was expensive and i don't think it went mainstream. Also SNES had a Turbo controller that had no d-pad, it was just a circular area and you could move your thumb around, worked like garbage. O and lets not forget about the Power Glove for NES.

Yes, iirc it was called the 'Activator'. It was about $90, I think, which was a lot more then than $90 is now.

Microsoft seem to forget this is a game system. Probably 99% of us do it for fun. They act like an overprotective mother.

Some people play games to get a high score, some play to finish the game, some play to win, some play to achieve something.   For whatever reasons people choose to play a game,  it can all be summed up as for "Fun" for them.

Cheaters take away  the challenge and sense of accomplishment for both themselves and the other players.    The cheaters take away and shorten the fun for the legitimate players and when a game is no  longer  fun they stop playing.   People who stop playing are bad for any Gaming business.  Microsoft is well within their rights to keep the game fair, level, and “fun” for everyone.    Only an immature kid who cheats  would accuse Microsoft of acting like an "Overprotective Mother" in this situation.

Powerglove FTW

Back on topic: I can see why they are pissy about achievements, but game saves? C'mon! How often have you beaten a game, lost or deleted the save, and don't want to start from scratch again? Those gamesaves are a lifesaver!

What a load of BS.

Thanks for the explanation Xorloser! I'm pretty sure my last console was revoked, so I can provide some information about it. I played on Xbox Live just fine and was never banned or anything. In fact, before I tried to use my profile or saved games on another console, I couldn't even tell I was revoked. I could purchase MS points, use marketplace content (that was licensed properly, of course), etc.

Speaking of "corrupt" saved files, I finally figured out how to rid the problem. Check out my reply over in this topic:

So far I've been able to load my GTA IV saves and Rock Band saves on my new console when previously they were being read as "corrupt". Boo ya.
