Why Doesn't Jungle Flasher Play Nice With Hitachi Drives?
« on: April 03, 2009, 10:14:00 AM »

Every time that I try to use Jungle flasher to update a Hitachi Drive firmware it doesn't work. It reads the port, it recognizes the drive and the model. It sets it in mode B, and windows sees it. However when I go to dump the files it freezes. I tried every single combination to get it read, all it does it freeze. So I end up using Slax and good ol' 360 toolbox.

I was just wondering if any of you guys have had the same issue or if I am doing anything wrong. I am using a 360xtractor on it's own without the xbox, but with the USB. I thought that might have been the issue but I have no way of checking seeing as I don't have a com port. Also I am running windows xp sp3, on a Nvidia chipset that never gives me problems.

A little more info. I tried this on a 47, 59 and 79. Non of them worked. Any help would or even sharing your own experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I was having problems with one just yesterday and ended up getting it using another program just fine. I'm glad I usually use Benq drives!
