Can I Just Upgrade From 1.5 To 1.51?
« on: April 01, 2009, 08:38:00 AM »

quick one, I have a jasper lite-on flashed with 1.5 (someone flashed for me), my question is can I upgrade to 1.51 via Jungleflasher without my original fw or any CK3 tool? I just want to do a straight upgrade, thanks.

You do not need to original firmware but you need to connect your drive to a pc and flash it using your preffered software.
This would mean reading the drive to get your key
Uploading the 1.51 firm with key etc

In a release note or something I think I saw something like Lite-on SATA support or something but I never read up on it very much.

im not sure, im having some trouble doing the half way tray step, this is exactly what im doing, by the way i want to power dvd via 360.

-turn on 360 - eject tray - press eject again (take out dvd's power plug before tray closes) - put tray half way (with dvd power plug out) - restart 360 - ???

this is where I get stuck, when i turn in the 360 again the front light starts flashing and the 360 will turn itself off at around five minutes (knowing the dvd power plug is not in) when I plug it back in the lights keep flashing until i give it a restart with the dvd power plug in only then it will stop, I have the AV hooked up also so I know thats not the problem.

hope that makes sense, thanks.

When you remove that pin it prevents the Xbox from sending eject commands to the DVD drive.  This way when you turn the console on (with DVD power cable attached), the dvd drive is powered up, but tray will stay open.   BTW, you need to have the tray most of the way out, a little further than half way.
