Ck3 Serial Cable?

I just picked up my ck3 pro and it obviously only comes with the USB and sata cable.
I'm kinda a fan of doing it the DOS way and was just wondering if I need to pick up a straight serial cable or a null cable? Can anyone with a lite version confirm?

don't own one but pretty sure its a straight serial cable

Its just a standard serial cable. Works way better than the USB cable.
