OK. I am a noob to flashing drives and I could really use some help. Here is my situation:
1. Do you have to have a SATA chipset to do all flashing. I have a SATA to USB adapter but my PC does not have a SATA card in it.
2. When I open iprep 101 it tells me there is no device found. Is this because I don't have a SATA chip?
3. When you I do get iprep to open and I try to find firmware to input nothing works, I have Xtreme bin files and MTk files but nothing works

I could go on but these are the first steps I need to overcome.

THanks

1. I think you have to use a via(sata)(they are cheap $20AU) chipset if it is a samsung ms28
2. Yes
3. You dont extract any of the files, if you have used winrar or something dont

Ok. I know it was a dumb question about the sata card but I has to ask.

Also I have a TS-H943, not the MS25 or MS28. Is there a card that is good for All types of flashes? Or do you need different ones for specific drives?

You're not supposed to extract ANY of the files with WinRAR? Leave the FW as is when inputing into iPrep?

ummm, it has to be a ms25 or ms28 look closer at the drive and ready it carefully, via 6421 will do sammys, benq's, and lite-ons(extracting inquiry.bin etc) ,
