General Hacking Of The Xbox360

I know I will probably be flamed for this one, and I have done some searching as well, but what is the point of modding the 360? I have modded the original Xbox and for use of XBMC, emulators and game storage. Is any of that avail. to the 360 yet? I have been out of the scene for about 9-12 months, so any info would be appreciated.

No.  You can only flash your dvd-roms fw to be able to use backups or if you have an old exploitable kernel you can boot linux.
