Extracting Your Dvd Key Using The Infectus 2?
« on: February 24, 2008, 06:45:00 PM »

Hi,

I am seriously considering the purchase of an infectus 2 chip.  It looks like a serious piece of kit.

However I would like to here from people who have actually used one of these on this forum.

What I want to do is extract a DVD Key without physically modifying my xbox 360 DVD-ROM drive which is a Hitachi LG 0079FL.

At the moment the infectus 2 looks like a viable option.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

mmm correct me if im wrong someone
but you do not need to do any modding/buy any chips

just connect the drive to your sata controller.. and follow the 1st bit of the process as if you were going to flash extreme/iextreme firmware to your drive

by 1st bit
i mean read the firmware on the drive.. and use one of the many programs to extract the drive key

this gets you the drive key with no modifications the only visable sign that you have done this is your microsoft warrenty sticker will be broken....

hope this helps

the infectus is alot harder to use and install to extract your dvd key than it is to extrect the dvd key from your drive. first of all, you need modified firmware to use infectus in the first place.

you can extract your key from the drive without modifying the firmware at all
