Please Correct me if im wrong but it looks like FT6U1-8 would be a better spot for d0-7 and it doesnt look like the tsop spots have changed (from the nand flasher), just moved to the top.

This would be much easier (for me) if everything was on the bottom, having to etch off the d0-7 points and nav around components would just be to fun for me.

This doesn't exactly look like it's easy to install. But I like a challenge tongue.gif. Just need to find a banned 360 now, optionally with a broken DVD drive (as I have 2 spare ones lying around anyway)...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but does this mean that the INFECTUS actually supports custom/alternative dashboards? I thought that this chip only allowed you to downgrade to an exploitable kernel/dashboard! I didn't know that alternative dashboards are possible too! cool biggrin.gif  ph34r.gif

I guess we'll get to see XBMC360 and other homebrew launch straight from the dashboard after all cool.gif and here I thought we were stuck with that King Kong DVD  rolleyes.gif

The chip does indeed only allow you to downgrade to an exploitable kernel.

All their marketing material talking about alternative dashboards and so on are referring to as-yet-undeveloped software that could be launched via the King Kong exploit - technically their chip does allow for this possibility, but the chip itself can't contain an unsigned dash as the xbox won't boot. They're stretching the bounds of honest advertising, really wink.gif

The picture shows to remove R6t3 resistor for prevention of blown fuses.
Does this mean I can remove that, and play any game that wants to upgrade my kernel,
and not have to worry about downgrading later.

That PCB downgrade board promises to be quite something.
From their resellers site:
http://www.hardstore.com/default.asp?cmd=g...Type=-1&l=2

Updates 28/12/07:
the release of INFECTUS TIME ATTACK ADDON is setup for week of 7th january togheter with INFECTUS2.

X360 CPU TIME ATTACK ADDON is a little PCB that is studied to be fitten exactly on the PADS of INFECTUS1 and INFECTUS2.
With this PCB all can do the X360 CPU TIME ATTACK that allow to downgrade X360 DASHBOARD. A new era of X360 scene is opened!!

The possible features of DOWNGRADE are:

Lol, very true. I remember the hard time I had soldering in an Xecuter chip in the original xbox the first few times. And that was only a simple pin-header and 1 wire tongue.gif. Actually wrecked one box trying to resolder the one wire that got loose, but then again, that was at 4am in the morning while drunk biggrin.gif

You take the keyvault from an unbanned 360 and 'inject' it into your dump of the NAND, replacing your banned keyvault.  This can be done once you have your CPU key of both consoles and a dump of the NAND from each console.

that's going a little far, hopefully within the year we will be able to do these things but as of right now:

1- there are non and it will be alot of work before there will be.

2- possible but that's alot of work to unban your console, im sure alot of people will do it tho.

3- currently there isn't a way to boot Linux and get the CPU (which is needed to view and change the dvd key) without running the kk exploit which requires your dvd key. (all that is needed is a way to run the exploit off of the hard drive (possibly a demo) or a way other then Linux to get the 1bl.bin and fuses.txt (CPU key)

What we really need is a way to initiate the exploit without the use of a disc.
