everything is well, the blue light comes on, i have to hit the eject button on my drive twice to make the tray close and then it reopens automagically. i unplug the passkey and the drive plays games on stock firmware fine.
my question, with the passkey plugged in, when the tray would close, the passkey would flash red twice, is this normal? is there a list of passkey "light codes" so i know what this thing is doing all the time?
second question is, the maximus site says you can leave the passkey installed all the time for future, non case opening firmware upgrades(i plan to use the blaster with the passkey and close the case for good eventually). i understand that after your drive is flashed, the passkey will detect this and not put the drive in modeB anymore. once i go to flash the drive with newer firmware, how will the passkey know that it needs to be put in modeB for me, or should i just boot the slax cd and let it do the modeB'ing for me, or should i use the blaster360 modeB switch?
sorry for the noobish questions, im just stoked that the drive is working like a charm. im figuring this will mean i wont have problems when i hook it up to windows, we'll see.
this should probly be in the dvd hacking section, i accidentally put it in the wrong place.
