i am currently using xtreme 4.2 firmware.

i want to know if i install latest update from microsoft will everything still work as is?


ie: will my backups still run?
i was contemplating upgrading firmware to ixtreme 1.2c but i read that it will only run backups that are stealth patched and many of my backups are not stealth patched.

i do not use xbox live, nor do i plan too.

any help is appreciated. thanx

ps: another dilemma i have is i currently have kernel 4532 and wasnt going to upgrade but by the time homebrew is a reality, or xbmc for xbox 360 exists, chances are there will be easy tools to downgrade the kernel.

i have been thinking about this for weeks, and finally decided to update to latest patch so i can at least play the latest games, instead of my 360 just collecting dust.
