So about 9 months ago i modded my 78 drive with a card i got online "nGear SATA & IDE PCI Controller Card VIA 6421A Chipset 1SATA 1ESATA 2IDE"

ive gotten a friends box now its a 47DJ, and im just having non stop trouble getting it to work, i remember last time since i have a promise raid controler that i found out wasnt compatible that i had to fool with some settings, but im pretty sure ive done it right,

is there anything about the 47dj that i dont know , ive been outa this stuff a long long time, or any new information getting modeb easier?

i was havin problems to but then i tryed the two wire trick and it worked fine

ya, its not my box so im going to offer my friend the choice of that or the connectivity kit, the 2 wire trick dosent look as hard as i thought it would just really pisses me off i paid for that card and it dont work.

i know i bought a card to and it worked better when i just plugged it into my motherboard

All Hitachi drives below the 0078FK revision work best with a SIL3112 chipset. But you can also use the VT 6421.

Just use Slax2 to get the drive into modeb. Seems Slax 2.1 won't work for my VIA 6421 and had to use the older 2.0 slax to get it to work.
