Is There Any Issues With The 2.6 Kernel?
« on: February 16, 2005, 05:09:00 PM »

All of the distributions of Linux for the Xbox (Xebian, Gentoox) uses the 2.4 kernel by default, I'm trying to get Mandrake to run on my Xbox, but what are the advantage of the 2.4 kernel over the 2.6? More stable or relieable?

I don't think anyone's gotten the 2.6 kernel to work with the Xbox yet.

Well, XFedora uses it. I've ran it on my Xbox about 2 weeks ago. And 2.6 patches are in the CVS of Xbox-Linux on SourceForge. So it's difinitly working, but I don't know if there is some sort of issues, like things working better with the 2.4 kernel.
