Xbox 360 Elite Problem
« on: August 25, 2007, 01:18:00 PM »

Hi,
I recently purchased an Xbox 360 Elite right from the distributor I asked specifically for a Hitachi or Samsung drive. I haven't recieved it yet, but I just found out that the most frequent Hitachi drive in the Elites is the 79 which is supposedly unhackable. I would only like to use the Xeno 360 modchip because it worked so well for me in the past and I was just wondering is their anyway to install an Xeno 360 modchip in a Hitachi 79 drive if there is not a way would the NME 1.2 or the Globe 360 chip work I prefer not to use either because I have heard nothing but manufacturing problems about the NME and the same goes for the Globe 360. So really what I am asking is there any way to install an Xeno 360 in a Hitachi 79 drive on an Xbox 360 Elite or is it possible that I could get an older Hitachi drive or even a Samsung please let me know ASAP because I paid alot of money and I hope I don't get screwed, thanks for all your help.

I don't know if this is possible but I have a Hitachi drive from a launch 360 would it be possible to switch the two? If that is not possible please refer to my first post sorry for double posting.

You need to get the drivekey from your NEW Xbox360 Elite. If you have that, you can use all drives with your new Elite, you just have to patch the Firmware with your key, then it will work.
