Alright, here's my question.. I've got a 360 atm and I am considering getting another one to hack.. However, I don't plan on spending more than $200 for the second 360 so basically I'm just getting a bare system. So, chances are I will be sharing a hard drive between the two consoles.

I plan on keeping my current 360 legitimate so I can play demos & play online should I want to. The second 360 will be hacked for backup usage. Can I use the hard drive from my legitimate 360 on my hacked 360.. and swap back and forth without my legitimate 360 getting banned? Thanks.

If i was in your situation, I wouldnt by a new 360 just yet. Since the 360 you have now isnt banned you should just flash it with iXtreme firmware and go online with it. Then if that console ever does get banned go out and get a bare console to keep on original firmware.

I'm saying this because if you go out and buy another 360 right now and the 360 you plan on modding doesnt end up getting banned you would have wasted your money on the second one.

But if you do get one modded console and one stock console then you can use the hard drive on both, it shouldnt affect anything

Good point.. Although my dilemma now is RLOD.. I haven't had any problems yet with this 360 (it's a Samsung drive late 2006 build).. but I'm afraid right after I void my warranty it's going to take a dump on me. :|

If it does "take a dump" on you, then you can try the X-clamp mod to fix it.

And back to your original idea of having 2 360's. You could void your warrenty and flash your drive with iXtreme and everything be good. But dont go out and use your money until you absolutly have to. You can never tell the outcome of this situation, for all you know everything could go perfect, you flash the drive and never get banned and not have a 3ROL. Or it could go the oposite way and you end up getting banned then right after get 3ROL.

My main point is dont go out and waste your money on another console till you need to

Yes I have 2 360's one legit, one modded and I swap my hdd between both of them often. Haven't gotten banned yet in 3 months.

Well that sucks,I bought a 360 couple of days ago and i couldnt get my old game saves loaded up,I had to start again but it fun i guess

I have 2 360's and just swapping the hd for saves. My elite is legit with live, and my old pro (march 2006) is used for backups and hasn't been on Live since modding it. Just recently I started to get the rlod on the modded one, but it's rare. I figured i would get it sooner than later considering the number of hours played since mar 2k6.

Anyways swapping the hd between the two works, except for one thing I just encountered tonight.

The live update on my elite sytem copied information to the hd, so when i plugged in the hd to my modded system it's now asking for an update. Games of course won't work without the update, so I copied my profile from the hd to a memory card and unplugged the hd. Rebooted, no updates is asked, and backups work now.

I did so the hd won't mess up my flash if indeed it has something in the update i don't want, especially when the update mentions security issues.

So has anyone installed the update via hd to their modded system with no problems?
