I currently run a unmodified 360 and I read posts about the bannings and dashboard updates and I'm wondering, who exactly got banned? Or really, was the firmware you flashed the stealth or non-stealth? I'm considering flashing the firmware on my xbox 360 for the stealth boot but I want to know if MS banned anyone using it in the last update.

M$ dont ban straight away, if they did no one would update until a work around was found.
You will know who got banned after the HALO3 release in September. (well that is my guess anyway)

That didn't help much but thanks anyways. I'm just debating whether I should mod my XBox if one of my PCs has a SATA connector. My dad's has an ATI, but they aren't listed in the compatible/noncompatible in one of the guides on the site. So we won't risk it till we know.
