The 360 Id Is Not Crypted
« Reply #15 on: May 31, 2007, 08:30:00 PM »

Ok, SERIOUSLY, this thread needs to be closed.

Thankyou foogrrr for clearing up the fact that he's looking at unencrypted packets NOT being sent to Xbox Live.

The changing of the console ID, is NOT IN ANY MEANS POSSIBLE, simply because we can't unencrypt it, and when we do get brief seminars of this info unencrypted, it wouldn't serve any point to change it, just pop up a random error.

I would beg for you to close this thread on my hands and knees, but I have no webcam and no video camera to send you a video of it lol.

Cheers + hopes of closing day!

That would be really hard to write a prog that would insert data that fast.

I hate to bring bad news, but to end this: you can never unban a banned console. The reason is that each console has its own console 'certificate'. This certificate is basically your console ID, signed with the MS private key.

So, even if you'd succeed in changing your console ID, MS could just ask for the console certificate via LIVE. And unless you break into the MS WHQ in Redmond, there's no way you're gonna get that MS private key to create a new certificate for your modded console ID smile.gif

So in short, forget about unbanning. On the bright side: we made good progress on the kernel hacking stuff the last few days smile.gif The new version of the flash dumper tool will now be able to reconstruct the kernel code from a flash dump. This will benefit the hacking community greatly, one step closer to homebrew ...
