I really like the idea of being able to update with top gear as opposed to NME or other drive chips.

1) Does it require a special SATA motherboard or can any sata work?
2) Can I fully backup my old DVD firmware and reflash it at any given time?
3) Does it require a PC power supply when flashing?

Any other neagtives.
