Hi all,

I have just spotted somewhere i can buy a 2nd hand core system for only £69, and a memory card and remote for a further £8.

Im thinking im going to get it and stick a modchip in it, what is the best way of doing this?

There is a service on the internet whereby for £70 i can have a "fractal 360" installed.

Is this any good?

Also, are these chips firmware upgradable? Is M$ going to come out with an update that renders them useless, or even worse, bricks the 360?

Also, is there decent homebrew? Anything along the lines of XBMC for the 360? As it would be nice to retire the Xbox 1.

if you are interested in making backups of your 360 games, then modding the firmware is all you can do at the moment. Modchips for the 360 are a waste of $$$. If you want homebrew, stick with the original xbox.

To be honest at this point im mostly interested in being able to download games from the intarweb

Do i not need a modchip for that?

Bearing in mind i am pretty world reknowned for not being able to get softmods or anything working.

Well, the only games downloaded from your "intarweb" that could be used on a modded 360 would be what? Yep, you guessed it! Pirated! You have read the forum rules right?

No more pirated than backing up my own copies assuming i only downloaded games i owned.
