Yes the infamous "Hello World", ahh I remember my first app in .net was a "Hello World" app.  Maybe these guys can master the 360 faster than me mastering .net lmao (im sure they will).

Great Job, the talent surrounding this scene is simply amazing Microsoft doesn't realize how lucky they are...this is what sells consoles! Going to buy my 360 tonight, this is what I've been waiting for....the first signs of Homebrew.  Thanks guys we just don't say it enough!!!!

Yay! I wonder what comes next? Hopefully some diagnostic programs that dump the memory or something, or a port of something useful. I really want to know if this will lead to xbox homebrew emulation, that would give a huge headstart.

when you say "the efuse was blown during update" do you mean the update physically damaged a certain part of the CPU to prevent downgrade?

can someone link efuse documentation cause google doesnt seem to be bringing me desirable results.

yes, it's blown to prevent previous kernel version to be valid
search efuse topics in xbox360 sub technical forums

i've done my homeworks, you know. when I posted in the "masked hero" thread in december, I added that it was probably time to no longer upgrade firmware... for people really interested in homebrew, I mean...
you still have time, sell for cheap your xbox and buy a new one.

If your version is 4552 and you haven't desoldered the resistor, then your efuse is blown for sure smile.gif

Seems like I remember back before the 360 launch, I read an XS article that said a bunch of 360 Dev Kits have been stolen from some warehouse or something.
I also seem to recall that our favorite xbox modchip maker got their hands on some.
Seems like if that were true then we could get somewhere after this new found vulnerability.

The problem is the dvd drive on most new boxes are not supported by hacked firmware.

It's been already told but I'll say it once more...

eFuses are INSIDE the CPU, and there's NO WAY to downgrade because PRE 4552 firmwares required that fuse to be NOT BLOWN to start.

HELLO WORLD, HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO BUY MY 4548 FOR?

Will people pay more money for a 360 with the old kernel?

speaking of emulators..i wonder if (since the 360 is so poweful and has external inputs available) a wii emulator would be possible...that'd be freakin sweet.
