They did a lot for Xbox 1 but certainly weren't the genius behind it..
The hacks were made public and they capitalized...
I'm sorry bro but this is nonsense. The only thing EVER to be released before Xecuter existed was the RC4 v1.0 key. But how do you know one of our team members weren't directly or indirectly involved in that ? The fact is you don't know.
I hate to "bang our drum" but there is too much speculation of we have done or haven't done in the past.
HardwareThe first ever Xbox Modchip (direct on the fly patching - members of Xecuter involved - the product was not called Xecuter)
The first ever LPC based modchip - before cheapmod (First Xecuter named mod)
The first ever 4 x 256k Multibank External Switching modchip
The first ever on-the-fly eeprom editable modchip
The first mod with a dedicated 256k Flash Rom Backup
First custom case hardware such as the X3 Control Panel
World's first Xbox 360 Homebrew Mod Project
SoftwareFirst team to crack the RC4 v1.1 Encryption key (the only other team in the world to do it after us was the Linux guys - NO mod teams were ever close or had any clue)
First team to hack the Xbox Kernel Build Tree to run on a retail Xbox (no one else came close for 2-3 years after we were successful)
First team to ever reverse enginer the Xcalibur Video code to run on the Xbox kernel build tree
First team to release a stand alone DVD player for the Xbox (DVDX v1 and DVDX v2 - no other player was released for 3 years after ours)
Most of the major BIOS hacks (credits for others' work was noted in ALL our nfo released with every Bios)
The first (and only) on-the-fly patchable xbox bios
The first team to embed an xbe into a bios
30+ bios releases over 5 years
World's first Xbox 360 Homebrew Modchip Sourcecode
A little more than "capitalizing"
