Hi, I'm a returning hacker from the Xbox days. I've done all the Xbox hacking there was imaginable and am now ready to embark on hacking the 360. However, I have a question on one thing: Xbox Live
I'm a big fan of XBL, as well as a regular user. I remember back with the first Xbox, anyone caught on live with modified bios' would have something banned. I don't remember what was banned...gamertag maybe, I'm drawing a blank. Now I realize nobody has been caught yet, but I tend to look into the future of this a bit.
Generally, what I'm afraid of, is what is going to happen once MS discovers how to stop this firmware hacking thats going on? Will our gamertags get banned?? So what, we make another. Will our consoles be banned? Now we must spend extra money to get a new one...ok.
Lets say the console gets banned, here's the second part of this question. I'm big on the achievement point thing, I like to unlock them as well as gloat about them. I'd be quite unpleased if I were to ever lose all these points. I'm assuming that if my 360 ever did blew up, die, flal down stairs etc, that I could just take the HDD and connect it to another 360, recover my gamertag and every thing would be back to normal.
Now lets say my gamertag is banned. are the achievements directly related to my gamertag? Here's an example... lets say I took my HDD out of my current 360 and put it in a brand new one, plugged it into the internet and created a brand new gamertag, would I still have all my achievements?
If somebody could please sum up the whole XBL with a hacked console concern, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
