1, create a backup of the current firmware. is the fist thing to do i assume u have a sammy is so then load up mtkflash and type mtkflash r /m modded.bin

2, load back up in to windows and hex edit the key from you modded.bin and put it in to your xtreme 4.2a/b

3, then flash the xtreme 4.2a/b by going back in to dos and typin mtkflash w /m xtreme.bin

4 then as an extra go bak in to windows and use keydrive extractor tol and load up the modded.bin and it will give you the key put a sticky lable on the dvd drive and write down the key

no lol the hitachi dosent need the key it patches round it

so ive lost my original fw for my lg and im patched with the very first mod fw, i can just update to a new fw and wont have any problems?
