2 More Questions (samsung Flashing) And I Think I Got It

What is the best tool to use to remove the side grills from the 360? Something that won't damage the case being that the holes are so small. I was thinking something the size of a toothpick but don't think it would be strong enough to release the clips. I havesome small screwdrivers that should fit in there but looking for something a little cleaner / safer.

Um, i`ve opened a few 360`s now, and I must say i`ve never known this to be a problem. The thing I have ended up using most of the time is a little piece of a top cover for a cd spindle. I use the same one for the back clips. If you get the clips at the end they snap of easily, with barely no force at all.

On your 360sam question I have no idea.. Mtkflash works flawlessly, so i`ve never bothered trying.. smile.gif

Maybe i didn`t describe it properly, but i was also referring to the side grills. A little piece of a cd spindle, or any small plastic piece will do.. The inside of a rollerpen for example, fits perfectly.. wink.gif

well guys, what i did was a got a box of so-called jeweller's screwdriver or something like that.  inside that box, there are 5 pieces of 'philip'  and plain head screwdriver but they are really small and strong.  i used the smallest 'plain' head screwdriver to get the side grills and even the bottom cover backside clips undone.  do check these 'small' wonder out.....  smile.gif)

The first is really looking for suggestions:

What is the best tool to use to remove the side grills from the 360? Something that won't damage the case being that the holes are so small. I was thinking something the size of a toothpick but don't think it would be strong enough to release the clips. My last clarification:

X360SAM seems to be the flash of choice for the TS drive (I know it uses mktflash behind the scenes). Even though it doesn't say it supports xtreme3.3 (I believe it came out before 3.3) my understanding is tht it does in fact work and you can either edie the batch files to look for the xtreme33.bin or easier, just rename xtreme33.bin to xtreme32.bin. I just wanted to make sure that was correct and it would work as I don't want to create a bad flash and brick the drive.

Along the same line, I know xtreme 3.3 is the latest so that's what I was planning to use - but is there a "best" version of the firmware, meaning are there any problems with 3.3 where I might want to consider an earlier version? From whatI have read, I don't think so, but always safe to doulbe check.

have you found an answer to your sencond question about the 3.3?  I hope someone can help because I need to know the same thing.
