Drive Seems To Be Stuck In Mode B?
« on: September 09, 2006, 01:46:00 AM »

Hi, I had the exact same problem after flashing my Hitachi & you are correct in thinking it is stuck in mode b. I solved this problem by putting a game disc in the drive & manually closing the tray when its switched off, when it's switched back on it must read the game which takes it out of mode b. it may take a couple of goes, I hope this helps, it worked for me.  biggrin.gif

Hmmm I've been trying to do the 'return to mode a' thing with a hired local region game and it isn't working  sad.gif  Does anyone else know what I can try?

If anyone cares  tongue.gif I went to original fw, a hired local game worked, I flashed it (not stealth flash)  with the autoflashed and I can load up backed up games. I guess my drive doesn't like the stealth flash
