Based on the pictures, i have The Toshiba-Samsung drive, It's got one small hole at the front of the disc tray.
I don't know if this is true, but I was seeing there is THREE types of dvd drives, not just two? Is that right?
The backup's I have, my cousin got me into this but gave me a few of his backups to try, are working/compatible with the "xtreme method" he told me.
I logged on to #xbins, and I downloaded all the software I needed, and I need to know which firmware I should flash onto my drive, so it can play these backups as a test, and then after i confirm it's working, i can backup my own games and give him his backups back....
I ordered a Pioneer 111d drive from newegg, and also got a Syba PCI SAta Card (
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16815124022 ) , with the chipset VIA VT 6431L and on the turorial by geenbee said that it WORKS with an EDITED MTKFLASH.
Can someone who has experience with this chipset, assist? Where do I get that EDITED MTKFLASH because I'd rather not edit it myself, for fear of f'ing up my xbox360 dvd drive, therefore turning the whole thing into a brick.
Thanks in advance!
