Sata Card Msg Upon Bootup And 360 Drv Detection
« on: July 17, 2006, 01:38:00 PM »

vening. finally got my sata card from china, it installed like a treat. I have disable my onboard sata (which didn't work) and boot up the pc with 360 connected and the slax cd in the drive. Only thing is the sata card picks up the 360 drive in the boot sequence an only gives me an option of 'press <tab> to go to user window' and it will go no further. So what i did was switch off the 360, get past the sata screen and when it prompts to boot from cd i switch the 360 on an let slax do its thing (which btw, i think sets into mode cool.gif but upon reset im back to the raid <tab> screen and can go no further.

Its a via 6421 sata and so far works great but can't seem to get it to ignore an not try do anything with the 360 detected drive upon boot.

exact msg, booted pc up again " serial_ch1 master : hl-dt-stdvd-rom gdr3120l // press <tab> key into user window!

then underneath in yellow 'if you want to install linus default partition raid drivers, please do not us oprom creation operation'

Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong. normally i post this whist at work, but im here now at home, pc / 360 open and hoping to flash this bad boy now (been 2months in the waiting to find the right sata card)

thanks in advance

(ps. posted this in the sata part, plz close as i think that was the wrong sub section. my appologies)
