Xbox360 To Run Beia Says Sakoman

Former Be Inc COO Steve Sakoman issued a surprising press release on Friday, stating that MS's upcoming XBOX 360 will run the BeIA "Internet Appliance" software. Said Sakoman, "I'm pleased to announce this historic partnership. The BeIA platform will allow MS to provide their customers with an unparallelled interactive, rich-media experience." While some details have caused skepticism over the accuracy of the announcement, Sakoman assured reporters that the deal will not be significantly hampered by the XBOX 360's "six months ago" release date and Be Inc.'s "no longer in business" status.

Can this for real? MS using a BEos...OS? How can that be possible, with Directx and Linux Kernel compatability?

Edit:
Umm nevermind

While it would be irresponsible journalism to speculate on why Sakoman made this announcement, that has never really stopped us before. It's probably due to severe RDF (Reality Distortion Field) poisoning.[/qoute]
