This thread probably should be moved from the Hacking forum into general. The link has the compatibility update and directions for burning to cd for you though.

i am not looking for backwards compatability. i am looking for the "SPRING 2006 UPDATE", anyway to get that burned and loaded from a cd.?

no, you'll just have to go and rent new games until you find one that they placed the update on. Unless you can get ahold of an OXM disc, it should have the update on there as well.

i have every oxm since january. how do i load the update?
