A Thought To Loading Xbox1 Dashboards
« on: July 02, 2006, 10:10:00 AM »

Technically, as we can load the sata drive on pcs, cant we copy the splinter cell saves that load evox, etc, to softmod, and in theory have xbox homebrew that way, and just load through splintercell in the emulator?

Thanks guys!

Won't work mate. The evox save used run buffer overflow exploid, the x360 is well protected against this sort of exploit.

This can go either way in my opinion.

to PS that screen.. one may ask why would the guys here at this board risk their rep over a photoshop fake?

I do think that it is real and I am sure we are well on our way but like all things... Baby steps and in moderation.

I had plans on testing out a transfer kit of all sata to a bigger lappy drive.. nad seeing if it would accept it.

Following this logic it would seem liek you could rip the laptop drive form the unit. Use a connector kit to transfer all the data. Get a bigger lappy drive and slap it in there and transfer the original data back hence giving youa  larger drive.

As far as the homebrew there are no doubts in my mind that there is an exploit to be found (This is MS you know)

It is simply a matter of time.

Great work guys I am on the edge of my seat.

Because they don't give anymore info and without info everybody could make a video.

from personal experiences...When ever Team Xecuter says something is real, that is because it is real. There is even a chance that Team X figured out how to run the code on a 360. I mean I wouldnt want to be the first one to circumvent MSs security...

Doesn't anyone read the previous posts????

Let me give you a few of the million reasons why this WONT work.

1: Exploit is based on a Buffer Overflow in the gamesave file. Hypervisor won't allow this, it handles all exceptions.

2: Just by chance you get based 1, the exploit is built to make the public key factorable, then launch an xbe signed with this key. This xbe is hardcoded to launch from a xbox1 based partition (/e/) which is not going to be on this system.

3: And if lightnign strikes u twice and manage to still launch the exploit xbe. There is no emulation built into the TDBX.db file on the backward compatibility drive for the homebrew dash titleid. It won't know how to handle loading that xbe and tell you (this game isn't supported yet).

Sorry to shit on your hopes. But your all hoping for something way to obvious. Actually do some work.

I don't understand all this hate lately toward Xecuter.

They still make the best modchips for the original xbox.  Best support also by far and easiest to install.

I'm sure if a modchip for the 360 is developed, they will come out with a high quality product.

They haven't lost their reputation in my book.

The homebrew screens were allegedly off a devkit, so it could be ages or never before they get it working on retail consoles.  I think the whole thing is currently way blown out of proportion.
