The only thing the connectivity kit will do is give power to your dvd drive after you remove it from your 360.  If you have a hitachi drive, you can use this for modeB without having to do the crosswire trick.

QUOTE
I have the connectivity kit, and i have flashed my hitachi 47d yesterday , but i dont know what the **** e failed in the device control, this will affect the drive function?

All others process are done but device control was failed, can i play backups like this??

flash again until you get no error!!!

i might be worng but the connectivity kit does not add any more compatibility. if your hardware is compatible, it'll work. if it's not, try a usb > sata adapter.
