I thought about that too when I started reading about these problems people were having. I don't own a Hitachi so I don't know for sure but I would think that should work.

You're only flashing peices of the firmware and if you suscessfully flash a piece, you should be able to skip that and only reflash the pieces that didn't go.

Someone with a Hitachi should try it.
