I cant seem to find the power cable for the 4 pin adaptor on the connectivity kit I am searching for a 4 Pin Male Molex Power cable can anyone point me in the right direction thankyou

Are you f*cking kidding me???

Are you really looking for a molex cable in your 360? That kit is for connecting your drive to your computer without the need to draw power from the xbox. Look inside your computer case. Plenty of Molex connectors in there.

Inside your PC case, its a power connector from your power supply. (your harddrive and DVD\CD ROM drives us it)

If you seriuosly don't know what that is, I wouldn't recommend attempting this.

That kit is for hooking your 360 dvd drive inside of your pc.  That is a power adapter so it can draw power from your pc while its in it.  I am gonna get one and an extra sammy 360 dvd drive to leave in my pc so I dont have to keep reflashing the firmware in my 360.  ANd so I dont have to open it every time I need to make a backup.

I think you need to take your 360 completly apart to search for that cable.  Maybe you can make your own?  blink.gif

Your still lost.  That 4 pin plug is one that goes to your pc.  Dude.  Do us a favor and turn off your pc.  Open it up.  Un plug the 4 wire plug from a cd/dvd drive or a hard drive.  That is what it plugs into.  You dont GET IT from any where.  Its inside of your pc.  That 4 pin plug goes into your pc.  While the 10 pin plug goes to the 360's dvd drive.

Wait, there's a word for that statement... Hold on, I know it... Oh yeah, it's called an "OXYMORON"

And there's a another word for you other than Noob if you have to ask about this because your molex connector is white, not black. It's the latter part of the above word in quates.

Great way to get help.  Help isn't available for those that don't even take the time to read.  Do a yahoo search for a molex connector.

Open your pc.  Look for the power supply.  This is the thing the power cable gets plugged into.  There should be a set of wires with connectors coming off the power supply.

One of these wires will have a molex connector that is white in color.  You may also have black connectors on the wires from the power supply.  These are usually used for connecting sata devices power.

Take on of the white molex connectors and insert it into the connetivity kit slot that you circled on the image.

Please take a picture of your power supply in your computer and maybe we can help some more.  Would definately help if we saw what wires are coming off your pc power supply.

That's not always true. A molex connector is not always going to be white, I have power supplys that have black molex connectors, Black connectors aren't always sata connectors.

But we're all wasting our time here anyway. This guy is a f*cking moron. He wouldn't know a molex connector from his own vagina.

Amen to that one!  Unless you know what you bought and what it does and how to use it, you shouldnt be messing with stuff like this.

Viper...that black cable you have circled in that pic.  ITS NOT IN YOUR XBOX.  YOU WONT FIND ONE IN IT.  THERE IS A PLUG THAT FITS INTO THAT 4 PIN SOCKET INSIDE OF YOUR PC.  THAT IS WHAT THAT THING IS FOR.  ITS MADE SO YOUR 360'S DVD DRIVE CAN BE POWERED FROM YOUR PC INSTEAD OF THE 360 SO IT MAKES THINGS EASIER ON YOU WHILE BACKING UP YOUR GAMES.

You will find a 3 colored 4 wire plug that will fit that 4 pin socket on that board INSIDE of your PC.  You connect that cord to it.  Then you take the power cord that was connected to your 360's dvd drive and plug it into the other end of that board (the multi pin plug).  Then you take that cord and plug it up to your 360's dvd drive.  Walla!  Now your 360's dvd drive will be powered by your pc instead of the 360 itself.  Now you just have to plug the drive into an available sata port.

the black plug on the pic from team xecuter is from a usb to sata adapter. it's the (standalone) power cord... it can be used to power the drive and flash it thru usb on a notebook for instance.
i must admit it's confusing for newbies since molex connectors are usually white  biggrin.gif
