Pci Sata Card Of Uk Supplier (web Based If Pos)
« on: June 20, 2006, 04:14:00 AM »

No one? far amount of views no replies. Anyone have a link off one on ebay (uk shipping plz) then?

I have contacted scan / aria / ebuyer they either have the Sil3112 chipset or generic ones that they can't give me any info on.

Someone must have a pci card they bought in the UK.

Ok smile.gif...

I admit defeat. Im either a total ass/noob that I'm not seeing the obv fix for this, or that everyone who has tried this in the UK has not had the same problem as I. Will buying the connectivity kit sort this problem out for me, or as my sata doesn't connect with it already I'm buggered.

Hey man, dont get the connectivity kit.. its only purpose is to give the dvd drive the power (so it doesnt have to be hooked up to the actual console).. it also gets the drive in modeb.. but that can be done without the kit...

im from the uk and bought a pci sata card on ebay.. still havent receieved it but im hoping itll work.. thats your best shot buddy.. ebay... good luck

weeee, a reply. Aye mate, ive done the same. Bought a $17 sata card, waiting for it to be delivered.

If not, I now see they are soon releasing a nice usb - sata which 'should' be able to patch hitachi drives. So if not the sata card, perhaps we have this as a backup...

I too had great difficulty trying to find a solution as all the PCs I have are SIL based SATAs  mad.gif

I ended up buying an ASrock K7 Upgrade 600 as it has the VIA 8237 chipset, which works a treat.

I had spare bits to build another PC so only shelled out the £30 it cost for the motherboard.
