TR Legend backup worked fine using a Pioneer DVR-108 v.1.20:

- startup wxripper 1.2
- inserting movie Terminator2 as hotSwap DVD and close the tray
- give the drive a few seconds to recognize the disc
- press "stop drive" on wxripper
- hotswap disc with TombRaider original Gamedisc WITHOUT pushing the eject button
- press "spin drive" on wxripper
- give the drive a few seconds
- press "Find magic number"
- save layout file and open it separetly with an editor and edit the third line: exchange the "C" with a "D"
- save the file
- open this file with wxripper
- dump the game to an iso file (takes half an hour)
- close wxripper

- open ss-merger 1.4
- have a tombraider ss file ready from your original disc (which can only be extracted from the original game with the original XBOX360 drive with modified firmware hooked up on a PC)
- merge dumped iso with the tombraider ss file and save the .dvd file
- burn .dvd file with cloneCD

I looked into some of the game's levels (I have played the original till the end, so I can start at any level), for being sure, that everything has been captured from the original disc. Even the last level works. So editing the third line of the layout file, which results in not reading this area of the original disc, had no (yet seen) impact on the final game. Maybe there is a part of the game, that is affected, which I havent found yet.

Some remarks:
- the first dump with wxripper causes problems, when not editing the layoutfile (CRC-errors)
- for some reason, the disc spinned much more slower on the second rip with the modified layoutfile (dont think, this is important)
- playing the copy in the xbox360 is very relaxed, as the disc spins much more slower than the original one causing less noise !
- first tried to backup with a toshiba dvd drive, which causes wxripper saying "HotSwap DVD too small" using the same method above => so this error is hardly depending on the DVD drive you use
- the pioneer drive needed some seconds and some head moves after swapping discs and spin up again, which seems to be a good sign, that the used drive is working with the wxripper method => the toshiba dvd drive was ready immediately after swapping discs and spin up again without many head moves => bad sign  smile.gif

good luck
