Are Any Model Dual Layer Dvd Burners Problematic

Sorry.. I figured out my misconception with the hard drive. I didn't realize you have to have a memory card to store savegame if you don't get the hdd.  I'm getting the hdd version.

Still curious if there are any problems with particular models of dual layer dvd burners.
