yes, using the emergency drive release by sliding a paperclip in the hole

so that goes along with what i read where if you use the emergency hole, and push it slowly, maybe the laser doesnt engage, or rise enough to read the disc... i will try pushing it hard once to see.

done quite a few games now with this method, all working fine .

but only after i managed to fine a dvd-rom that didnt crc errors.

tried 5 or 6, and finally got an ASUS dvdrom that worked with everything but tombraider.

and everytime ive used the emergency eject.

you do need to slam it in a bit, but each drive is different, you just want enough so the laser rises to the lock position

BUT yeah, deffo working
