Wlan Through Linux?
« on: October 09, 2004, 06:49:00 PM »

I have the MS MN-510 802.11B WLAN adaptor, and I was wondering if it would be possible to get wireless internet on my Xbox with this adaptor. I searched around a bit, but I couldn't find any drivers for WLAN USB devices.

Has anyone else gotten WLAN working through USB?

normaly thers wla drivers for linux stock and its probly a standerd pc wlan adaptor as for usb i would figure out what pc drivers it uses and then slect them in linux.

a easy way to do this is hook it up to your pc usb port and see if windows xp regnises it and it would give you the real name for it. if not then you might need speical drivers and i have no idea there.

Hmm... well I'm a linux n00b, so I don't know exactly how to use the kernel drivers, which kernel options to enable, or how to even enable them. I currently don't have linux on my Xbox right now, but I will try that website later on when I re-install it.

Thanks for your help.
