Hitachi Firmware. How Soon?

The hitachi drive will be out in 3-5 days according to Scener and he has been 100% reliable up till now. People buying second drives have too much money :-)

im so confused

i modded my xbox 1 w/ evolutionx and i have a bunch of emus on it

im thinking about getting an xbox360 but is it not like 100% safe like the game exploit was?  (i used the 007 exploit w/ mem card).  i mean, should i just wait or is it a reasonably good idea to do it now?

im rly clueless about this

should i wait a few months for better shit?

thanks bros

This exploit only allows you to play game backups. No homebrew. If i remember correctly there was an emulator you could play thru media center, aswell as a method for web browsing but again, just thru your 360 thru media center
As for waiting, I recommend you wait to see what M$ does with the next live update before you make your move, until then you should read up on this mod so youre not "clueless" when the time comes

I agree with maddy... Scener never said he released anything and regards the Hitachi he said only commadore4eva will do this though he said as well that commadore4eva said he will release this a week after the samsung. This is quoted in english from foros360.

That takes the piss to be honest.

I think I'll probably leave it for the weekend, and then start looking for a Samsung drive if nothing has shown up by next week.

What I think takes the piss is when people just expect someone else to magically do the hardwork and hand it to them.
If you can't do it yourself then keep quiet and show patience, don't just expect to take all the time. These guys doing this stuff have other lives as well.

Samsung users have been handed a firmware on a silver platter, Hitatchi users (which represent the majority of Xbox360 owners) have been handed nothing but speculation and disappointment, you can't blame us for expressing a little bitter sentiment from time to time.

Well said...

Chancer is right, besides the reason the Samsung one came out first was probably because they had those drives, if they didn't have hitachis how would you expect them to make the firmware? The hitachi one will be released when it's ready, it's pointless to ask or expect when its going to come out, even if somebody reliable says it'll be ready in a few days/weeks/months they could unexpectadly hit a brick wall and have to start fromm scratch.

be patient people be patient.... though what I dont agree is that Samsung users are taking the occasion now to post for Hitachi users to stop moaning and that the firmware will be out whenever...who knows what would have they said if it was the other way round ?

It's difficult to be patient though, when you have those bastards gloating all the time, and ironically our drive is supposed to be easier to hack.
