Running A Windows Exe In Gentoox?

I have just installed Gentoox and would like to run some Windows programs with the help of Wine.
I have an exe file that I want to launch (DC++) but I dont really know how to do this soo if anyone could explain it for me I would be grateful   :rolleyes:

you can use wine or winex to run windows apps in linux. well its not perfect dcc++ should work fine. i beleve gentoox comes with a copy of winex.

Thanks I'll check it out right away... though I heard that Shallax removed Winex from his gentoox distro... I'm not to sure about this sthough... better check it out and I'll post here later smile.gif

if he did remove it you can always reinstall it using emerge.

 What would you recomend me to install then?... Wine or WineX? if I just want to run small applications.
Would there be anything more I'd needed to emerge to get it to work?

stock wine should do the job. winex is more for gaming.
