Pioneer DVR-108 has been working fine for me (using eject hole)

Thats strange because that is the exact drive i have, and it doesnt work. How exactly do you do it?
This is what i do:

Open WXripper, insert my 8gb movie then "find magic number" , then i click stop drive and put a toothpick into the hole replace disc and then push the tray back in. But when i click spin drive it doesnt spin up the drive.
If i open up the drive and then hotswap it like that it works.

actually sorry i just realized i have a DVR-109BK.

NEC 3540A does work using the eject hole too, and it's pretty cheap...
Dunno but think other NEC's will work too (as long as they're capable of reading DL discs)
