but as computing power increases and the instructions per second increases it also means that ms can mkae the encryption on their products even stronger. Even if we could do it by the time it would be accomplished it would be years and years down the line, probably after the life of the 360 ended and a new key would have been implemented by then

Can you show your work, please? Adding a single bit to the key length should double the search space. I want to know how you started with 30,000 MIPS-years for a 512-bit key, added 256 bits (which should increase the search space by about a trillion trillion trillion times), and got only a 6,000-fold increase in time to factor.
