Xbmc On 360 Using Mce
« on: April 01, 2006, 02:40:00 AM »

All MCE programs run ON THE PC and are just 'portaled' so to speak through your 360, so you would have to make a pc version of XBMC and that would be VERY complex as you would have to add all the XP MCE specific code to transfer the screen across to the 360.

its not Impossible but very very diffilcult

Err there already is a Windows port of XBMC, its called Media Portal - Look it up.

Umm excuse me for being a dumbass here but does this work on the 360?? As i cant figure it out if it does cos it dont. So therefore please accept my apologies for the flame but I did state that something to work like XBMC through MCE on the 360 and not a windows port of XBMC

Actually, Media Portal technically IS a PC port of XBMC. Go to the bottom of XBMC's page: http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/ where it says this:

XBMC Official Site => XboxMediaCenter.com  Mirror Site =>  XboxMediaCenter.de
XBMC's Sister Projects => Media Portal (XBMC PC port) and Xbox Media Player
