Porting Old Game Save To 360...need Advice

I am about 60% done with KOTOR2 on my Xbox 1 and I want to get the save game over to my 360 using Xplorer360 B2, but I've got some technical questions first...

1. If I'm able to get the save onto the 360, will the saved game files work?

2. I'm looking at going the memory card route so I don't have to dismantle my hard drive...if I successfully get the saved game onto the memory card, will I be able to use the 360 dash to copy the saved game to the hard drive? Reason I ask is because I popped my memory card into the 360 dash and noticed when I selected a newer KOTOR2 save on the 360 hard drive, no options were available other than "Delete", so it looked as though I wasn't able to copy that KOTOR2 360 save onto the memory card, so I wonder if the save was on the memory card if I would be able to anything other than "Delete" on that as well.

Anyone that has concrete knowledge of this, would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

1) Yes, but you'll have to use Xplorer360 Beta3.

2) You must use a hard drive for original xbox games on the Xbox360.

Porting Old Game Save To 360...need Advice

I sucessfully transferred my KOTOR2 saves from my Xbox 1 to the 360 hard disk. Not exactlly working however. Before I transferred the saves to my 360 drive, I popped in KOTOR2 on my 360 and created a new game and saved it to the drive. I did this so I would be able to easily find where it stored the save on the disk when using Xplorer360 B3. I found the saved game I put on there and I followed the same exact folder structure when transferring the old Xbox 1 saves. I triple checked that each directory had the same amount of files, all same names, etc. When I hooked the drive back up the 360, I went into the dashboard and was happy to see there were now 4 game saves for KOTOR2 (1 I had put on there as a test and the 3 I transferred from my old Xbox). I popped in my KOTOR2 disc then on the 360 and went into the load game screen and only the original test save created on the 360 was showing up. The three I put on from my old Xbox were not. It seems as though the 360 dash recognizes them as valid saves, but the game itself doesn't. Anyone have any ideas here? I only transferred the files from the UDATA directory, I didn't modify the files in the TDATA directory (there were like 2 small files), could that be part of the problem? My thoughts on things to try next are delete all the files from KOTOR2 using the 360 dash and create the directories myself, with all the files from my old Xbox, including the TDATA files. Any thoughts?

Porting Old Game Save To 360...need Advice

For anyone who's interested, here's an update:

I left everything the way it was...4 saves on the 360...1 created on the 360, and 3 ported over from my original Xbox. When I would launch the game, only the 1 created on the 360 was showing up in the in-game load menu, even though all 4 showed up in the 360 dash. Well, I deleted just the save created on the 360 using the 360 dash, popped the game back in and lo and behold...the 3 saves from my old Xbox were now in the list of games available to load!!!! So I selected my most recent save from the old box and bam...loaded up just perfect. I immediately created a new save just to be on the safe side. I don't know why on earth having a save created on the 360 somehow was preventing the other 3 from showing up, but I finally got it working...this is truly an awesome day. Mission accomplished. Hats off the fellas who coded that Xplorer360 app. Works like a charm.
