I dont think they ban you for using the disk because you could have an original disk. Just unplug your network cable and remove the HDD, then it cant access XBL or save info to the HDD to communicate with XBL later.

Whats not to say u taken your mem card to a kiosk to get the free downloads available from them
???
And tried a couple of demos while your mem  card is inserted these will too show up on your profile wont they as ie king kong kiosk demo

Dont worry about it guys there on the kisos to be played and downloaded ect

I don't think MS would ban anyone for running the demo disk, not even sure if they'd ban anyone for *anything* at this point. Live figures too much into their business model. Cutting off that revenue stream for something as benign as running the demo disc doesn't make any sense.

The kiosk disk is the disk that is in the in-store kiosks, the place in like Wal-Mart, Best-Buy, etc, where you can play Xbox360 demos and watch trailers.  It was ripped by Team-Pi.  It can be burned to a DVD and played in a a stock Xbox360 console.  The disk has signed code on it, but no media checks.  This is what makes it possible to play it off of a burned DVD.

DO NOT ask where to get it.  Downloading it, having it, anything of the like is illegal unless you purchased/received the disk from MS or a store.

EDIT: And, oh, MS bans.  Bungie is not the only one.  That's why when you log on to XBL with modchip enabled *SLAP*.  No more Xbox Live (without eeprom, HDD, or other Xbox, but you all know that).
